In the dynamic realm of subleasing, effective marketing stands as an indispensable pillar of success. Allow me to take you back to a time when Airbnb-like platforms had not yet surfaced; back then, our primary means of reaching potential tenants was through Craigslist and our own company website. As a recent college graduate in programming, I found myself diving into the burgeoning field of social marketing—a concept that was still in its infancy, closely tied to the emergence of WEB 2.0, which eventually gave birth to Facebook and Twitter. To some of the older generation, these platforms may have seemed like playgrounds for the younger generation, with little belief in the potential of social marketing. However, for us, targeting millennials, these platforms were a perfect fit for our business.
The year was 2014, and the seed of my subleasing venture was sown.
